I had attempted to hire Mr. Ligon the attitude from the person answering the phone and the entire situation was off putting. We met at a shared space downtown and discussed the case. I was told I did not have to appear in court and that I would receive a call from an associate or the receptionist, to make a payment this never occurred. The next morning on my way to work I called to attempt to make a payment and was told I needed to be in court. When I attempted to get in touch with the office I was met with rudeness. I’m glad I read the reviews and didn’t pay the $2000 he was requesting.

The WORST LAWYER! Very unprofessional, Rude and straight out Scammed me for my money. I called and emailed multiple times all I would get back was a response for sending them more money. NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE COURT APPEARANCE IT TOOK A WEEK FOR HIM TO MEET WITH HIS CLIENT IN PERSON THAT I HIRED HIM TO REPRESENT. When I called to ask for a FULL REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT I was told to seek counseling for my problems because I involved them in my personal problems. Obviously that’s why I was seeking a lawyer but was told I wasn’t getting any money back and hung up on me. Now refuses to take my calls or respond to my emails. I don’t know how he stays in business taking money from people he does not represent or do anything for their case. I will be reporting to the state bar. If I could I would give a negative -6 ⭐️ court appointed lawyer did more than STEPHEN C.Ligon.

Don’t hire this scam artist lawyer
I’ve been trying to get my money refunded and they are rude as hell and they don’t do nothing to the client, he threatened me while I’m in tough case and I felt like he is not defending me , keep asking always for money and he never does anything , I emailed him many times but no response to get my money back and still waiting!! Not worth one star even

worst. lawyer. ever. Don’t even waste your time/money with him. I don’t know how I found this man, nor why I did not read reviews of him, but the more I read the more I agree with the reviews 100% . He is a scammer, more than half the time doesn’t even answer your emails. Has an attitude problem, has treated me poorly multiple times, I do not recommend, there are way better lawyers in the Houston area. I have wasted months of time with him, and money.
