Highly recommend. It is a local staple. We were nearby and drove down just to go for lunch from Buford. Easy to visit on a Trader Joe’s run. Growing up in Norcross/Peachtree Corners this has been there since 1983 which is when I first went. Locals will go weekly from the area. Take your special gal there, she’ll enjoy. Great breakfast business meeting in AM for coffee pre going to work, lunch, great options for breakfast or lunch. We didn’t see Ben from Ozark Netflix there while visiting, and weren’t surprised.

Been eating here since they first opened and love that they have changed very little since…yes, if you watched Ozark, you should recognize it as soon as you walk up…walked in for breakfast with my dad and he said, ‘I remember when JR’s mom would sit right over there and talk to everyone that came in…’ I told him JR passed not too long ago and he took a moment of silence…nothing fancy about the food here…biscuit, eggs, gravy, omelets, grits, and those blueberry cakes that come complimentary…have been delicious for 40yrs…Hope this place never changes and is around for at least another 40yrs…

We had come to this place because my fiances coworkers had raved about the breakfast here at his work. Well unfortunately we got there a little too late and they stopped serving breakfast at 11am so we decided to try their lunch menu.
I got the 1/2 lb Angus burger with a side of Mac and cheese and he got their fried chicken special with onion rings and mashed potatoes with gravy. Keep in mind that they only serve their fried chicken one time a week on Wednesdays. Our food arrived and mine looked fine but his had the smallest pieces of chicken that we had ever seen served at a resturaunt. My food was average, about what I've come to expect from a diner but the only thing I feel worth mentioning was the Mac and cheese. My fiance on the other hand had a different experience. He chose the fried chicken because it was their once a week special and he assumed that it had to be good if they only served it as a special. His 2 pieces of tiny chicken were flavorless and did not fill him up, they look bigger in the picture because of the angle of my camera but they both fit in the palm of his hand. Mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like box mashed potatoes with instant gravy. He said the onion rings were the best thing on his plate. The older brunette that served us seemed bored the whole time when dealing with us and told us that "people flock here for our fried chicken" but did not express any other concern when we told her how disappointed we were with the chicken other than saying "I hope you get something better next time". Overall the experience was a C and my fiance was sad to leave hungry.

This place is a the place to go for good Country Food. Everything my Wife and I had for breakfast was delicious, the Biscuits and sausage gravy were phenomenal, as was the Blueberry Muffins, the grits and Country Fried Steak. My wife had the breakfast fish and smoked sausage and it also great. A true authentic Country Breakfast and BBQ Restaurant, check it out!

No salt or seasoning on anything, I thought that was crazy for a country cooking place. The collards didn't even have pork fat in them. I've never had plain collards before, so there's that. Portions are good, but honestly not impressed with the flavor. Service was good, staff was very friendly.

This reminds of the places from “back in the day”. I came on a Wednesday. Or shall I say FRIED CHICKEN WEDNESDAY’s ! The vibe was VERY welcoming, respectful and family like. The food was delicious and affordable and I received service with a smile to boot! 5 out of 5 stars all the way?
