I had a terrible experience renting with Rental Designer who unfairly kept my entire 2,500 Euro security deposit with bogus damage claims. Even when I disproved a claim with photo evidence from their own website, they ignored me.

Here's my story:

Unreasonable Damage Claims: Upon moving out, we were blamed for numerous damages, all unfounded. A bathroom mirror light fell during out stay which we put down to wear and tear and set aside. Another claim of damage to a bathroom spotlight was only refuted when I found an image on the rental website with the damage pre-existing, exposing their lack of due diligence. These claims were unwarranted, excessive and now seem intentionally dishonest.

Poor Communication: Attempts to obtain more details about the claims, clarify what was expected, and get my deposit back were met with silence or unhelpful responses.

Deposit Withheld: The agency has ignored the contract's timeline for deposit return. They've ghosted my communications and kept my entire 2,500 Euros.

Advice to Future Renters:
AVOID THIS AGENCY. They seem determined to keep deposits unfairly.
Document EVERYTHING: Photograph and note even the smallest issues within 48 hours of arrival to protect yourself.

Excellent property & service!! I stayed at one of their rental properties in the Spa Carré Blanc building for one week. The apartment was well designed and well equipped with everything we needed. The mattress were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern. The service was outstanding! Would highly recommend!
